Since I prefer New Year’s reflections over resolutions, I’d like to share a few personal reflections with you:
- I’m thankful to be alive, healthy and surrounded by a loving close and extended family.
- I’m grateful for the wonderful friends I have, both near and far.
- I’m thankful Len loves Italy as much as I do and that we are very compatible travel mates.
- I’m excited about the future and discovering what lies ahead.
- I’m honored that my blog has been viewed over 30,700 times, thankful for the many friends I have made, and always grateful for new experiences, like finding my grandfather’s home in Pietrabbondante.
- I’m delighted that Benita followed her dreams and spent a semester in Rome – and loved it.
- I’m appreciative of the small wrinkles around my eyes and mouth as they are a testament to how much I smile and laugh.
- I’m ok with a less than perfect figure because few things are better than enjoying great food and wine with those I love.
- I’m fine with some age spots on my skin, as I’ve enjoyed my fair share of suntans.
- I’m grateful that I lived long enough to become great – as in great-aunt, as nothing can warm my heart more than my great nieces and nephew. Bring on those smile wrinkles!
May our 2015 be filled with a child-like kind of wonder
and may we always remember the value of unconditional love.
Happy New Year! Buon Anno!
Peace and Health. Pace e Salute.
Ciao, Judy
